NSCDA American Indian Nurse Scholarship Program

Open to:  Undergraduate and graduate nursing students enrolled in a recognized 2- or 4-year nursing school, at least one-quarter of whom are American Indian and tribal members. Applicants who are not members of a tribe but can prove direct tribal lineage will be evaluated.

Application Requirements:  Applicants must have an excellent academic standing in pre-nursing, healthcare, or health education. Students pursuing associate degrees can expect to finish in two years, whereas those pursuing bachelor’s degrees must graduate in four years. Applicants must also demonstrate financial necessity and a professional objective that is directly tied to the needs of Native Americans. Recipients of the Indian Health Service Scholarship are ineligible to apply.
